About SNX
SNX is alternative clothing for those chronically-online people who feel the need to express themselves through wearable art. For the ones who try to survive in the dead internet. I'm Alonso Sánchez, the creator of SNX, and I felt that way.
SNX is a stylized version of my last name, which I used as a username to create my digital identity in this second world called internet. As a latino who grew up with a computer and unlimited access to the internet, my whole life I've been able to discover what was happening in unreachable parts of the world through a screen. Even before I was a teenager, I enjoyed exploring niche communities on social media and video games, which drew me deeper and deeper into the digital world. I didn't realize that I was communicating with random humans in foreign languages, and expanding my knowledge, tastes, my artistic vision, and my creative abilities. Back then, I had no clue about the emotional value of internet and its aesthetics; but now that I do, my concern is the downfall of these digital experiences and their beauty, due to the arrival of content saturation, corporate control and A.I.
Now that I'm an adult, I have the opportunity to portray this perception into tangible art that might resonate with someone. This store is based in Peru, but our intention is to distribute our work internationally. SNX's goal is to make digital human art prevail over mechanic tools that imitate aeshetics, making our virtual ecosystem to collapse. This goal will be accomplished by creating designs with powerful meaning inspired from alternative digital art and culture.
